Newspapers
MediaCore allows Newspapers to save money and make money.
You can save money by replacing several expensive legacy systems with one central cloud based DAM, and make money through three separate, profitable, online applications that will retain readership and atttract advertising.
MediaCore provides a secure, resilient, repository for all digital assets in the organisation, both pre and post production. In addition to fufilling all the requirements of a centralised Picture Desk facilitating the capture, curation and routing of images pre production, it can store video files and a wide range of document formats.
MediaCore can populate three separate, revenue generating, online applications - all from one central, cloud-based, resilient Digital Asset Management (DAM) System:
- Photo Sales and Distribution system
- Searchable Newspaper Archive, with Page Reprints
- Online Video
Photo Agencies
MediaCore allows Photo Agencies to improve image workflow, increase customer satisfaction and generate more revenue.
MediaCore is a hugely scalable, failsafe, centralised image repository with a powerful inherent search engine that gives customers advanced search capability.
The Capture and Routing module has a simple to use calendar function that simplifies the managment of photographic assignments by allocating jobs to photographers. This event-based function facilitates the acquisition of images from photographers, improves the capture and accuracy of metadata and gives Picture Desk managers (or privileged clients) approval and routing options. A distribution and usage control function allows images to be syndicated or licenced through both “push and ‘pull’ techniques. The sophisticated eCommerce system allows Agencies to licence images or sell reprint products in a wide range of options.
The new iPhone app, RoutePix, facilitates the rapid acquisition and routing of images in time critical situations.
Archives
MediaCore enables Archivists to empower their researchers, and improve subscription revenue.
MediaCore allows organisations to put huge, mixed format document archives online giving readers powerful search capability allowing them to search on every word in the archive.
The sophisticated search capabilities include language stemming, phonetic search and relevancy weighting, with immediate interactive text highlighting. The reader can select assets for inclusion in a ‘favourites’ workspace for collaboration purposes and (if configured) select a page to purchase an individual reprint.
