Ulster Tatler chooses Aetopia's picture desk & photo sales software

The Ulster Tatler, Northern Ireland's leading society magazine, has selected specialist software supplier Aetopia to provide its Picture Desk and Photo Sales software applications. 

The MediaCore Digital Asset Management (DAM) system will be used by Ulster Tatler as their internal Picture Desk allowing the picture editor to schedule events, assign photographers and capture the photos from those events. The central image repository will be used to store and retrieve images for both internal and external users. Ulster Tatler photographs will then be made available for online purchase.

According to Chris Sherry, Ulster Tatler MD:

"The Ulster Tatler has always had a reputation for quality photography. With this new system from Aetopia, we will be able to photograph even more events and make those pictures instantly available to our readers."

Ulster Tatler is a lifestyle and society magazine based in Northern Ireland. Established in 1966, the Ulster Tatler is Northern Ireland's longest established and most widely read monthly. It covers events in the Northern Ireland social calendar as well as local fashions. The magazine's ethos is to focus on all that's good about life in Northern Ireland.


Aetopia ranked in Deloitte Technology Fast 50 for second year running

On 21st November 2011, Aetopia was ranked by Deloitte as number 30 in the 2011 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Ireland. Rankings are based on average percentage revenue growth over five years. Aetopia Limited grew 277% during this period.

Aetopia’s CEO, Aidan McGrath attributes its growth to being able to deliver solutions to its customers that generate revenue and save costs, both critical factors in the current economic climate.

The Deloitte Fast 50 programme, now in its twelfth year in Ireland, ranks the fastest-growing technology companies in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. This year, there are 14 companies from Northern Ireland in the ranking. The average growth rate of the Fast 50 companies named in this year’s ranking is 674%.


Publish and be DAMed

Belfast based software company Aetopia has just been selected by a major British newspaper group to provide their Digital Asset Management (DAM) software, proving that local home-grown technology can compete with the best in the world.

The innovative company, founded by Aidan McGrath and Mark Gowdy in 2005, was chosen for the six-figure contract in a tight competition against a large venture-capital backed US company. The success is the latest of many in the company’s short history.

Racing Post backs Aetopia's DAM system

The Racing Post, the UK’s preeminent daily horse racing and sports betting newspaper has selected MediaCore, to power its online Photo sales site.
